Queda prohibido llorar sin aprender,
levantarte un día sin saber qué hacer,
tener miedo a tus recuerdos.
Queda prohibido no sonreír a los problemas,
no luchar por lo que quieres,
abandonarlo todo por miedo,
no convertir en realidad tus sueños.

Queda prohibido no demostrar tu amor,
hacer que alguien pague tus dudas y mal humor.

Queda prohibido dejar a tus amigos,
no intentar comprender lo que vivieron juntos,
llamarles sólo cuando los necesitas.

Queda prohibido no ser tú ante la gente,
fingir ante las personas que no te importan,
hacerte el gracioso con tal de que te recuerden,
olvidar a toda la gente que te quiere.

 Queda prohibido no hacer las cosas por ti mismo,
no creer en Dios y hacer tu destino,
tener miedo a la vida y a sus compromisos,
no vivir cada día como si fuera un último suspiro.

Queda prohibido echar a alguien de menos sin alegrarte,
olvidar sus ojos, su risa, todo
porque sus caminos han dejado de abrazarse,
olvidar su pasado y pagarlo con su presente.

Queda prohibido no intentar comprender a las personas,
pensar que sus vidas valen más que la tuya,
no saber que cada uno tiene su camino y su dicha.

 Queda prohibido no crear tu historia,
dejar de dar las gracias a Dios por tu vida,
no comprender que lo que la vida te da,
también te lo quita.

Queda prohibido no buscar tu felicidad,
no vivir tu vida con una actitud positiva,
no pensar en que podemos ser mejores,
no sentir que sin ti este mundo no sería igual.

¿Qué es lo que nos motiva para tomar las decisiones importantes que tomamos? ¿Estas decisiones están fundadas por las intuiciones más profundas y las perspectivas más elevadas que hemos visto? O son conducidas por impulsos condicionados o “debes” incuestionados que inconscientemente interiorizamos del mundo no iluminado que nos rodea? Si las elecciones que tomamos vienen motivadas algo menos que la parte más elevada de nosotros mismo, siempre, en cierto grado, experimentaremos una sensación de malestar, como si algo estuviera mal y no podemos captarlo. Salvo que las decisiones importantes que tomamos estén alineadas con lo más elevad que hayamos visto, alcanzando nuestro propio límite, siempre estaremos insatisfechos espiritualmente. No nos sentiremos completos. Pero cuando esto cambia de manera dramática, cuando las decisiones importantes que hacemos se convierten en un reflejo auténtico de nuestro saber más profundo y elevado, entonces experimentamos lo que significa estar vivos de una manera totalmente diferente. Vivimos en nuestro propio límite. Cuando hemos hecho la elección de alinearnos con nuestros potenciales más elevados pero todavía no manifiestos, sin duda alguna nos volvemos terriblemente conscientes de todas las partes de nosotros mismo que están muy lejos de ese límite. Y vamos a tener que pasarnos la mayor parte del tiempo haciendo todo lo posible para alcanzarnuestro extraordinario potencial. Y eso es lo que significa vivir una vida verdaderamente evolutiva. Es el reto último y el mayor desafío que existe-siempre viviendo en ese límite.

An Evolutionary Life

But when this changes in a dramatic way, when the important choices we make become a genuine reflection of our own deepest and highest knowing, then we’re going to experience what it means to be alive in a completely new way. We’ll be living at our own edge. In fact, we’re going to have to run just to keep up with that edge. Once we’ve made the choice to align with our own higher but as yet unmanifest potentials, undoubtedly we will become even more painfully aware of the many parts of ourselves that are very far from that edge. So we are going to have to spend most of our time doing all we can just to catch up with our own extraordinary potential. But that’s what it means to live a truly evolutionary life. It’s the ultimate challenge and the biggest thrill that there is—always living on that edge. What motivates us to make the important choices that we make? Are these choices informed by the deepest insights and the highest perspectives that we have seen? Or are these choices driven by conditioned impulses or unquestioned “shoulds” that we’ve unconsciously absorbed from the unenlightened world around us? If the choices we make are motivated by anything less than the very highest part of ourselves, we will always, at some level, experience a sense of unease, as if something is wrong that we can’t quite grasp. Unless the important choices that we make are in alignment with the highest we have seen, reaching towards our own edge, we will always be spiritually dissatisfied. We will not feel whole.

Algo profundo pasa en el alma cuando alguien se compromete a su propio desarrollo espiritual. Nadie te fuerza a hacerlo. Es elegido libremente. Y, por supuesto, cuando haces ese compromiso, no sabes realmente a lo que te estás comprometiendo. Pero lo que si sabes es que ese compromiso es absoluto, hacia aquello que es no-relativo, hacia aquello que es inconcebible, hacia aquello que significa la totalidad, para siempre. Eso si lo sabes. Y siempre he sentido que una vez que eliges libremente ese compromiso, cuando dices sí a lo Absoluto, a Dios, no hay marcha atrás, incluso si quieres reconsiderarlo luego. En otras palabras, cuando esa elección libre es realiza desde las profundidades de tu propia alma, algo eterno pasa a nivel kármico –un contrato interior es firmado.

An Inner Contract

Something profound happens at a soul level when someone makes a commitment to their own spiritual development. No one forces you to do it. It’s freely chosen. And, of course, when you make that commitment, you don’t really know what you are committing to. But what you do know is that it’s a commitment to that which is absolute, to that which is nonrelative, to that which is inconceivable, to that which means everything, forever. That much you do know. And I’ve always felt that once someone freely chooses to make that commitment, once you say yes to the Absolute, to God, there is no going back, even if you want to reconsider later down the line. In other words, once that free choice is made from the depths of your own soul, something happens at a karmic level that is eternal—an inner contract is signed.

En el mundo de la visión del mundo metafísica tradicional, hay un gran poder o Dios que se asegura de que todo funcione. Pero en una visión del mundo post-tradicional, nos damos cuenta de que no necesariamente sale todo bien. Depende de nosotros. A Cosmic Sense of Responsibility

In a traditional metaphysical worldview, there is a higher power or God that is going to make sure everything works out in the end. But in a post-traditional worldview, we realize it is not necessarily going to work out in the end. It is up to us. When someone awakens to the enormity of our collective evolutionary predicament they begin to feel a cosmic sense of responsibility for the process, and ultimately come to the profound recognition that the energy and intelligence that initiated the creative process, which is the new expression and interpretation of what God is, is not separate from who we are. There is no God outside or beyond the Self. And God as that creative impulse is completely dependent on human beings to become the initiators who will make this world a different place. When the evolving human awakens to this orientation, to the truth that it is up to us, then being alive begins to make the deepest sense.
