Estoy convecido de que una perspective espiritual o iluminada, especialmente según uno va madurando, tiene que incluir el mundo entero, el Kósmos entero, en cada dimensión. En cuento mi propia perspectiva e interés y entendimiento empezó a expandirse y crecer a l largo de los años, empezó a abrazar un marco más y más grande. Las culturas son meros valores compartidos- convicciones morales, creencias e ideas que dan forma a la manera que tenemos de ver el mundo. Y todos sabemos que las diferentes culturas compartes diferentes valores. La gente que comparte los mismos valores ve el mundo desde la misma perspectiva, y el tipo de sociedades que crean son reflejan esos valores. Así que encontramos que hay una clara conexión entre la evolución de la conciencia, la evolución de nuestra interioridad, y la evolución de la cultura en sí misma. Mientras la conciencia se desarrolla en y a través de las personas, sus valores también empiezan a desarrollarse. Cuando la gente tiene experiencias espirituales, por ejemplo, sus valores pueden cambiar. Una persona muy egoísta puede convertirse en alguien menos egoísta, y empezar a preocuparse más por los demás y el por el mundo. En ejemplos así, podemos ver la conexión entre la evolución de la conciencia y la evolución de la cultura, entre la experiencia espiritual y la práctica y crear un verdadero cambio en el mundo que compartimos. A Mature Spiritual Perspective

I’m convinced that a truly spiritual or enlightened perspective, especially as one matures, must include the whole world, the whole Kosmos, in every dimension. As my own perspective and interest and understanding started to expand and grow over the years, it naturally began to embrace a bigger and bigger picture. And I started to understand something very important: that there is a very clear and direct connection between the interior and the exterior, between the experience of consciousness or subjectivity and the world we are creating together. What is that connection? It is the relationship between the evolution of consciousness and the evolution of culture.

Cultures are merely shared values—the moral convictions, beliefs, and ideals that shape the way that we see the world. And we all know that different cultures share different kinds of values. People who share the same values see the world from the same perspective, and the kind of societies they create reflect those values. So we find that there is a very clear connection between the evolution of consciousness, the evolution of our interiors, and the evolution of culture itself. As consciousness evolves in and through individuals, their values also begin to develop.

When people have spiritual experiences, for example, their values can change. A very selfish person can become less selfish, and begin to care more about other people and the world. In examples like these, we can see the connection between the evolution of consciousness and the evolution of culture, between spiritual experience and practice and creating real change in the world we share. When we begin to awaken to this connection in our own lives, our understanding of spirituality expands dramatically, embracing more and more dimensions of life, of the world, and of the entire Kosmos.
