Cuando despiertas a la naturaleza eterna de la Fuente de todo Ser, encuentras que hay algo milagrosamente y misteriosamente irresistible en ello. Es como encender una vela en una noche oscura – te encuentras fascinado por algo perenne e infinitamente atractivo. Estás siendo dibujado por ello, al ser pintado por ello, lo único que experimentas como real es la eterna o atemporal naturaleza del Ser en Sí Mismo. Te encuentras en un estado de éxtasis. ¿Por qué? Simplemente porque una parte profunda de tí ha sido liberada de los deseos y concernimientos de tu ego, y sacado del devenir temporal.

Like a Candle in the Dark

When you awaken to the eternal nature of the Ground of all Being, you find that there is something miraculously and mysteriously compelling about it. It’s like staring at a candle in a dark night—you find yourself mesmerized by something that is unchanging yet infinitely compelling. You feel that you are being drawn into something that you can’t rationally understand but that your heart or your soul understands completely. You’re being drawn into it, and as you are drawn into it, the only thing you experience as being real is the eternal or timeless nature of Being Itself. You find yourself in a state of rapture. Why? Simply because a deeper part of yourself has been released from your ego’s endless fears and concerns, and drawn out of the time process altogether.
